Maltese Cocker Spaniel Mix
A Maltese Cocker Spaniel mix is a cross between a Maltese and a Cocker Spaniel. Most grow into small dogs of 12–18 lb and live 11–14 years.

Photos show the purebred parents. There is no single look for a mix: puppies in one litter can resemble either side.
How big does a Maltese Cocker Spaniel Mix get?
Pounds. The dark band is where most Maltese Cocker Spaniel Mix dogs end up; the light band is the full range between the smallest and largest parent.
Height runs 10–12 inches at the shoulder, against 7–9 in for the Maltese and 13.5–15.5 in for the Cocker Spaniel. The parents differ a lot in size, so litters vary more than usual. Breeders normally use the larger breed as the mother to keep whelping safe.
Coat, energy and training
Maltese has a low-shedding coat, so some puppies shed little. It is not guaranteed: coat type varies even within one litter, and no dog is truly hypoallergenic.
Daily walks and some play are enough for most of these dogs.
The Maltese rates moderate and the Cocker Spaniel very high; a puppy may lean either way.
Expect regular brushing and professional grooming every few weeks.
Temperament
The Maltese is usually described as gentle, playful, charming. The Cocker Spaniel as gentle, smart, happy. A mix can take after either parent or land in between. If you can, meet both parents of a puppy before you choose.
