Pit Bull Pug Mix
A Pit Bull Pug mix is a cross between a Pit Bull and a Pug. Most grow into medium-sized dogs of 25–45 lb and live 12–16 years.

Photos show the purebred parents. There is no single look for a mix: puppies in one litter can resemble either side.
How big does a Pit Bull Pug Mix get?
Pounds. The dark band is where most Pit Bull Pug Mix dogs end up; the light band is the full range between the smallest and largest parent.
Height runs 14–16 inches at the shoulder, against 17–19 in for the Pit Bull and 10–13 in for the Pug. The parents differ a lot in size, so litters vary more than usual. Breeders normally use the larger breed as the mother to keep whelping safe.
Pit bull is a type, not one AKC breed. Size figures use the American Staffordshire Terrier standard.
Coat, energy and training
Neither parent has a low-shedding coat, so expect dog hair around the house and seasonal heavy shedding.
Daily walks and some play are enough for most of these dogs.
The Pit Bull rates moderate and the Pug moderate; a puppy may lean either way.
A weekly brush and the odd bath keep the coat in shape.
Temperament
The Pit Bull is usually described as confident, smart, good-natured. The Pug as charming, mischievous, loving. A mix can take after either parent or land in between. If you can, meet both parents of a puppy before you choose.
