Poodle Pointer Mix
A Poodle Pointer mix is a cross between a Poodle and a German Shorthaired Pointer. Most grow into large dogs of 40–70 lb and live 10–15 years.

Photos show the purebred parents. There is no single look for a mix: puppies in one litter can resemble either side.
How big does a Poodle Pointer Mix get?
Pounds. The dark band is where most Poodle Pointer Mix dogs end up; the light band is the full range between the smallest and largest parent.
Height runs 20–24 inches at the shoulder, against 18–24 in for the Standard Poodle and 21–25 in for the German Shorthaired Pointer.
Size figures assume a Standard Poodle parent, the size closest to the German Shorthaired Pointer. A different poodle size moves the whole range.
Coat, energy and training
Poodle has a low-shedding coat, so some puppies shed little. It is not guaranteed: coat type varies even within one litter, and no dog is truly hypoallergenic.
Plan on long daily walks plus real exercise, such as running, fetch or a sport. A yard alone will not tire this dog out.
The Poodle rates very high and the German Shorthaired Pointer very high; a puppy may lean either way.
Brush a couple of times a week.
Temperament
The Poodle is usually described as active, proud, very smart. The German Shorthaired Pointer as friendly, smart, willing to please. A mix can take after either parent or land in between. If you can, meet both parents of a puppy before you choose.
