Daily walks and some play are enough for most of these dogs.

Trainability
Low to very high

The Basset Hound rates low and the German Shorthaired Pointer very high; a puppy may lean either way.

Temperament

The Basset Hound is usually described as charming, patient, low-key. The German Shorthaired Pointer as friendly, smart, willing to please. A mix can take after either parent or land in between. If you can, meet both parents of a puppy before you choose.
